FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How will this building project help us reach our community for Christ?

This new building project will benefit everyone.

Our community will benefit. With a larger facility and more parking, we will be able to welcome in more people and share the gospel with them.

Our kids will benefit. With new Wee Worship classrooms and a secure entry point for all children services, we’ll be as well-equipped as ever to minister to our kids.

Our youth will benefit. Blaze Students will inherit the current worship facility, giving them a new place to gather, worship, and grow.

Our adults will benefit. In addition to more parking and seating, our new sanctuary will free up space in our current facility for adult Bible Study classes and other ministries.

Our denomination will benefit. The new sanctuary will give us room to grow, bringing in more people and allowing us to grow in our giving to Free Will Baptists as a whole.

We believe that this new building will allow us to reach our full potential for ministering to our community and reaching them with the good news of Jesus Christ.

How will we pay for this?

We have faith the Cavanaugh Church family will rise to the challenge God has given us to grow His kingdom for the glory of Jesus Christ. With God’s help and your sacrificial giving, we will reach our goals of constructing this new facility and connecting our current buildings which will lead the way to minister, educate, and disciple future generations.

What are different ways I can give?

First, we are asking you to give a sacrificial gift over and above your tithe for the next three years. Secondly, some may want to give some of their personal assets to the church for the It’s Our Turn campaign. Thirdly, some people may have other forms of gifts they may want to give to the campaign, such as investments and assets. There will be a team from our church that can help you in this area.

Why should I sign a commitment card?

We believe we should be good stewards of God’s money. Signing a commitment card for the It’s Our Turn campaign will help Cavanaugh Church understand our potential in and through the body of believers and what we can do collectively to further His kingdom’s work.

How long is the commitment to this program?

We are asking each person to sacrificially give to the capital campaign for the next three years.

What does commitment mean?

Commitment means you and I are willing to believe God can provide through us what we cannot do alone. When we commit together collectively, we believe God will show up in a very powerful way.

How can I help?

First and foremost, please pray regularly for the It’s Our Turn campaign. We ask that you join us each day at 1:30 pm as we stop what we’re doing and pray for the campaign. Secondly, participate in the events and meetings that are designed for each one of us during the campaign. Make a commitment to learn as much as you can about the campaign and the vision it will help us realize. Be willing to say, “Yes,” if asked to serve. And thirdly, give sacrificially. The vision God has granted us can only be achieved through faith and sacrifice.
